Howa 22 ARC Rifles

Our Howa 22 ARC Rifles collection has 4 rifles in stock, priced from $510 to $701. Every one is a Howa bolt action chambered in 22 ARC. The 22 ARC is a Hornady cartridge introduced in 2023. It takes the 6mm ARC case and necks it down to .224, so it fits AR-15 length magazines and short actions.

Howa 22 ARC Rifles we carry

We stock 4 Howa 22 ARC Rifles across these models:

Howa Mini Action: 2 rifles from $510, like the Howa Mini Action 22 ARC
Howa Mini Action walnut: 2 rifles from $608, like the Howa Mini Hunter 22 ARC

What the 22 ARC is good for

It was built to shoot heavy, high-BC .22 bullets at useful speeds, which makes it a strong pick for steel targets, PRS-style practice and varmints at distance. Recoil is about as light as centerfire gets. Factory loads use 62 to 88 grain bullets. A fast twist like 1:7 is needed to stabilize the long heavy bullets the round was designed around.

SAAMI publishes the industry standard for chamber and cartridge dimensions.

Choosing between Howa 22 ARC Rifles

Howa Mini Action walnut: it’s for the hunter who likes wood and blued steel but wants a lighter rifle than a full-size bolt gun.
Howa Mini Action: it suits hunters who want a light, handy rifle for stands, blinds and short walks, and shooters who like AR-sized cartridges but prefer a bolt gun.

Barrel length matters too. Shorter barrels are handier in blinds and with suppressors, while 24-inch barrels squeeze out more velocity for long shots. If you want a ready-to-hunt package, look for models that include a scope.

Where to start

Howa Mini Action 22 ARC ($510, the lowest price here): 22-inch threaded barrel and black synthetic stock. It suits hunters who want a light, handy rifle for stands, blinds and short walks, and shooters who like AR-sized cartridges but prefer a bolt gun.

Howa Mini Hunter 22 ARC ($608, a middle option): 22-inch barrel and walnut stock. Think of it as a classic deer rifle scaled down. It’s quick to the shoulder in brush and easy to carry on a long sit.

Howa Mini Action 22 ARC Walnut ($701, the top of the range): 22-inch barrel and dark walnut stock. It’s for the hunter who likes wood and blued steel but wants a lighter rifle than a full-size bolt gun.

How shipping to your FFL works

Rifles ship to a licensed FFL dealer near you, not to your home. You’ll complete ATF Form 4473 and the background check when you pick it up. The ATF firearms Q&A covers the federal rules, and your state may add its own.
